FAQ

Where is the farm?
On Harrison Grade Road, two miles east of Occidental. We are at the corner of Stoetz Lane, perched on the edge of Green Valley. The address is 4388 Harrison Grade Road. Please keep in mind that this is a private residence.

When does it start?
We anticipate the first weekly harvest to be June 1st, and continue until the week before Thanksgiving, assuring a bountiful holiday celebration for your household.

How much does it cost and for what?
$30 weekly includes a bountiful selection of the freshest harvest from our fields and access to the flower beds to make your own bouquet. Payment can be in two installments of $375, due ASAP and again 1/2 way through the season, on August 21st. This first payment helps us to balance the start-up expenses for 2008, including seeds, hoop house maintenance, and propagation of your veggies.

What are the pick-up days and times?
Pick-up is once weekly at the farm, on one of two chosen days and times: Tuesday between 3pm to 7pm, and Friday from 3pm to 7pm.

What if I have special needs regarding pick-up?
We have this system set up in place, and leave the special needs up to you to work out amongst the community members. For example, if you are going to be away, have a friend come pick it up or share with another CSA member. Or those of you who live out in the Guerneville are can work together taking turns picking up boxes.

What are the other benefits beyond the delicious food?
Building community! Get to know the neighbors, enjoy events here at the farm, and tune your body to eating food grown in your neighborhood.

Are you still certified organic?
We did not renew our certification, but continue to farm ecologically and sustainably and still in accordance with the national standards. We choose this to build trust while deconstructing bureaucracy in our community.

How can I secure my spot?
First come, first serve. We are accepting checks now, and we have a total of 40 membership opportunities. Contact us to join.
